This is of course not Gal‘s first appearance on film as the superhero and it won’t be her last. She previously starred in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and she’s set to star in Justice League later this year.
A bunch of film critics has been granted access to Wonder Woman screenings at New York and Los Angeles. Everyone who was worried about the movie after critical failures of Batman versus Superman and Suicide Squad can relax now. Full reviews are still under embargo—but tonight, Warner Bros. allowed non-spoiler reactions on social media, and they were almost overwhelmingly positive and many reporters are calling it the best film in the DC universe thus far.
Mostly critics praising to its core, simple and emotional story about family. Gal Gadot and Chris Pine, who played Wonder Woman and Steve Trevor, respectively, also received praise for their portrayal of the characters in the movie.
Here are the review reactions by critics :

Loved WONDER WOMAN. She reminds me of Christopher Reeve's Superman: true north superhero w/ no angst or cynicism, which is needed right now.— Mike Ryan (@mikeryan) May 19, 2017

#WonderWoman is the best DCEU film so far. The heart of Gal Gadot's Diana powers it, and the shift from mythic into WWI story really works.— (((Eric Eisenberg))) (@eeisenberg) May 19, 2017
